“Bad” is subjective. These digital illustrations show two women who made drastic choices when presented with being slaves and being conquered. With Amor de Madre, a Taina mother rather her children drown in the ocean than live as slaves. With Las Sabias, the slave “La Malinche” ends up on “top” by learning to change, assimilate and work the system and thus becoming in a way, immortal
